I came across this video today over at youtube and thought it made a lot of sense as far as helping to describe what is needed in a sustained narrative. Rather than the straight diagram of the Aristotle Incline the author of the video shows how things have to be put in their correct place in a novel if the novel is to be written properly. It just makes the visualization of what needs to go where easier I think.
