Leading and superior numerals

Hi All,

Is there a workaround so that superior/inferior numerals don't alter the leading for the line it appears on?

Using:

<sup>

or:

span.Endnote-Reference {
vertical-align:super;
font-size:smaller;
}

Both change the leading. Altering the line-height has no effect either. It just looks hideous where there are lots of note references.

Thanks in advance.

John.

Use "vertical-align: text-top", or "line-height: 0" inside the span.Endnote-Reference definition. Or just don't use superscripts.

Bingo! Thank you very much. Line-height did the trick who'd have thought it ... certainly not me

"Don't use superscripts"? I wish!

Another possible solution: https://www.cs.tut.fi/~jkorpela/www/linespacing.html

Yet another: use superscript characters (with embedded font to be safe): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unicod...d_superscripts
