Using Kindle (PW) as a second screen with your android phone

Hi, I've seen the Kindleberry Wireless, the VNC solutions to use your Kindle together with a PC, but I'm wondering - might there be a way to use Kindle Paperwhite as a second screen for your android phone? It'd be portable like the Kindleberry and would come with the advantage of not having to buy the extra gadgets (i.e. the raspberry pi + wifi/bluetooth components).

All I want to do is to be able to type stuff on a proper keyboard, while outdoors (preferably using Google Docs).

Cheers!

So long as you can run a VNC server on your Android this might help: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=228167

But a Bluetooth keyboard shouldn't be that expensive either.

Hi escwartz,

That looks promising, though I don't know the first thing about VNC's.

Looks like there's a few apps on android for running VNC's though, maybe I should give one a try. (this one, for example, doesn't require the phone to be rooted)

This could work, right? In theory. I'd install the kvncviewer on the kindle, and the VNC server app on the phone?

Yeah.

Should be no different than doing the same thing with a Kindle and a PC. Which people have done, as evidenced by that thread.
