Kobo store will only let me browse German books

My Kobo account is registered at the German store, but I almost exclusively buy books in English there. I can still do that, of course, if I know what I am looking for. But when I just want to browse, the website will only offer me German books and there is no language dialogue anywhere (well, there is one as as soon as I click on a subcategory, but it only offers German as an option ...)

Even when I call up an English book and click on one of the categories that are listed below the title I am sent to a German-only category page.

Can someone please remind me why I buy books from Kobo?

I have given up on Kobo, and this is one of the reasons. I don't buy many German books either, I guess they don't want my money any longer. Too bad, but fortunately, there are alternatives.

@doubleshuffle, have you tried changing the language to English at the bottom of ythe kobobooks.com home screen?

Amazingly Amazon Aus offers me german language ebooks quite often even though I only buy and look at English speaking books. And no, I don't speak German.

Hey, that actually did the trick! Now I get the complete language menu. Still only after choosing a category, not before, but we're not expecting perfection, are we?

The funny thing is, when I first registered with Kobo I set the site language to English, but somewhere down the line it changed itself to German. I had left it at that because so far it didn't make a difference...
