NOOK w/ N2A android SD

Can a NOOK color tablet using an N2A android sd card run Calibre Companion? If so how do I load it on?

I have tried loading the CC free demo version from my desktop computer and it says it is compatible with my device and that it is installed but I cannot find it on the NOOK basic tablet or the N2A android or my desktop. All I see on the NOOK+android is an N2A settings icon and a File Manager icon plus various non-related icons.

Where could it be hiding if it is there?

Doesn't the Nook Color version of N2A run Android 2.2 (Froyo)? IIRC the minimum requirements for CC are Android 2.3 (Gingerbread).

If I'm wrong about the version incompatibility, N2A includes Google Play and CC is available through the Play store and could be installed through there.

EDIT: I see they've also done Gingerbread and Kit Kat versions for the Nook Color. In that case CC should be available through the Play store on the device.

My apologies, but I really have no clue about how the Nook Color (NC) works. I can say that many people have used CC on the NC, so it must be possible.

A word of warning: the NC is severely memory-constrained. Just this week we have received 3 crash reports from NC's because they ran out of memory. These come from apparently two devices, both running Gingerbread.
