Kobo Aura 6" and PDF files

Hello all,

I am thinking to buy an eReader, but I have a concern regarding the PDF files. I know the display of eReaders is small for PDF files, but my question is: if I zoom in the text, which will display a portion of the page, when I change the page, will it display the next portion of the same page while keeping the same zoom, or it will go to the next page and skip the rest of the (unread) page? I was thinking of Kobo aura 6" if it does that in anyway. If not, what about Kindle PaperWhite 2 or any other eReader does that?

Thanks

The zoom setting persists. Still, I wouldn't advise getting e-readers for PDFs, you'll only end up getting flustered trying to get it working nicely.

I have tried Kobo,s PDF reading sence original kobo touch reader at least once a year. It is still usable but not great. For my very limited use it it is ok. I think adding pinch zoom and text reflow would be a big improvment.

Don't ever buy any 6" eInk Reader with the hopes of reading PDF. It's just not a good fit.

Thanks all for replying. filmo, I don't think PDF texts will be reflowable as I understand how PDF files work. I wonder though, why they don't make E-readers that are big enough and thin enough to be good for PDF files, also. May be something like Sony Digital Paper as a design.

My Sony t1 does text reflow for pdf and has very good text reflow. This makes some pdf better others not. Yes bigger screen that can display full page is best but very expensive for eink screen.

Really? I judged based on the Adobe Professional on PCs, where when I zoom in on a text, I have to scroll manually to the next paragraph and move the page around so often to get where I want, especially if the file is two-column. You mentioned though, reflow is not perfect for all PDF files on Sony T1.
