App for Audio Books
What app do you use to listen to audio books on your iPad or iTouch?
I have been using Eddy which I like but lacks the ability to remember where you stopped or to set a bookmark. My requirements (wish list) are. Ability to download files (books) from Dropbox and/or Google Drive. Fast-forward or reverse by 15 or 30 second intervals. Remember where you stopped in the middle of a file or set a bookmark. App doesn't have to be free. I don't mind paying a bit if the app does all or most of the above and is easy to use. Thanks. |

Greetings! Did you know that MobileRead now has an audiobook forum? You might get more responses in that forum or find some other similar discussions such as the thread link below. I mostly listen to books using Audible or several apps specific to borrowed library audiobooks.

I think Bookmobile Audiobooks Player will do what you want. It has bookmarking, Dropbox integration and 30 second jumping. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/book...416457527?mt=8 If you have MP3s that you want to convert to audiobook format so Apple automatically saves your place, use this guide: http://www.diygenius.com/iphone-andr...to-audiobooks/ Cheers! |

Haven't checked this thread for awhile. Thanks for the info, I will check into Bookmobile. CloudBeats has been working pretty good for me but I'm open to try something else.
Thanks also for the Audiobook thread. I have gone back to Eddy. Much easier to navigate and it does have bookmark ability. Last edited by The Old Man; 03-06-2015 at 07:20 AM. Reason: Eddy comment |
