I suggest you install the free CC Demo version to be sure that CC works properly on your network and that it does what you want. |

the whole point of the app is to provide wifi transfers. if you use USB to access your calibre library then it's arguably pointless, calibre will natively do what you need.
If you want pretty bookshelves on the target tablet , most reader apps will give you those anyway. |

![]() Are you tying to run without a A/P or Router (peer network)? You need to jump through some (static IP) configuration and firewall, hoops |

1. Calibre automatically recognizes your tablet. Then just use it as usual. 2. If not 1 then you could use "connect to folder" to navigate to a folder on your tablet and the use calibre as usual. Now you just need a reading app on your tablet that has some library functions (I think all have). The app either finds your books on its own or you just point it to the right folder. That's it. Some apps to use: mantano reader, moon reader fbreader. (I assume your calibre books are epubs). If you use the kindle app, you could use the mailing option to put books into it, calibre will convert your epubs to mobi for you. Hope this helps |

As redjohn's questions have become a "How do I send books from calibre to a Samsung tab" question, I am moving them to the calibre devices forum |

You install a kindle read app on your samsung
Then 're download your books from amazon directly to it. No need to reformat books. If you have books in calibre not bought from amazon then ask again saying what format they are |

No need to convert your books. As cybmole said, the books you buyed from amazon, you can download again from the kindle app.
If you do want use calibre: I don't use the kindle app, so I just guess here: If you want to sideload your books with calibre: Connect your tablet to your pc with usb Open calibre Click on connect/share in the calibre toolbar select "connect to folder" navigate to your tablet and to the kindle folder and click on "choose folder" Now calibre will send books to that folder. |

I won't see 68 ever again. That does not stop me. There was a time where I could repair my cars induction system. Now I can't because the ![]() ![]() The first computers I worked upon had CORE memory and discrete components. I have been doing this a long time and have seen a lot of change. If you have XP, Calibre (on XP) can't deal with MTP type devices with reliability, so that mode was disabled. You could update to W7 if your hardware will handle that BTW what version # of Calibre are you running? |

you need to install the amazon reader app onto your phone, here is the link.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/help/cust...deId=201245160 To download and install Kindle for Android from your phone: Go to Kindle for Android . https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/feature....cId=1000423873 Follow the instructions to download the app to your device. After installing the Kindle reading app, you'll need to register it to your Amazon account. once that is installed, your phone will fetch fresh copies of your mobi books directly from amazon. calibre is not needed for that process,. get that working first, then come back for advice on how to get at any other books that you bought elsewhere. |
