Using a Calibre recipe to fetch a list of URLs

Hi,

Is there a way to make a Calibre recipe (when used with ebook-convert) fetch a list of URLs given either in the command line or in a file?

The use case is where I want only to download some of the news or even old pages not appearing anymore in the RSS feed. Solutions requiring to modify the recipe file are just as good.

Implement parse_index() in the recipe.

Is there a way to access the command line arguments to ebook-convert from inside a script?

I would like to avoid changing the script each time I want to download different pages.
