Kindle 3G charges?

I now have a Voyage 3G, but it's years since I looked into 3G usage on a Kindle - IIRC it used to be £0.20 per MB to download/send Personal Docs.

Is this still the case?

Yes. (I suppose the specific price could have changed, but there certainly is a charge.)

I know that, but sometimes, owners of 3G models forget that they can use either connection method. It was just a reminder.

Had to dig down to find that info since they changed the look of my account.
You can set a limit for the 3G charges if you want to not go over a certain amount. So once you hit that they wont go through anymore.

here is the cost and all. I don't remember if it changed as its been a long time I used it. There was a time when kindles didn't have wifi and I think that is when I used it. It still lists my charge there.

Fees for Kindle Personal Document Service via Whispernet are based on the size of the file submitted, your country of residence, and where you're accessing Whispernet.

For Kindle device users living in the United States: Kindle Personal Documents Service fee via Whispernet is $.15 per megabyte domestic and $.99 per megabyte international.
For Kindle device users living outside the United States: Kindle Personal Documents Service fee via Whispernet is $.99 per megabyte.
Aggregation of fees for Kindle Personal Documents Service: If you send multiple documents for conversion, consecutive orders may be combined into one transaction and appear as a single charge.
If possible, we will attempt to deliver your document via Wi-Fi rather than Whispernet; if successful, no document processing fee will be charged.

To set your personal documents charge limit:


Go to Manage Your Content and Devices, and then select the Settings tab.
Select Edit Whispernet Delivery under Whispernet Delivery Options.
Tip: The option to edit your Whispernet delivery options will only appear if you have a Whispernet-ready device registered to your account.
Enter your preferred charge limit, and then click Update.
Important: The limit you set is a per document limit. If you send multiple documents, the total aggregated charge for conversion may exceed your per document limit.
