Missing books plugin?
Is there an plugin which will go through my books and generate a list of books which are missing?

[Mod: Edited for clarity. Calibre calls them plugins, not extensions]

'Missing' in what sense? Books with no formats? That's easy with a search: 'formats:false'

Sorry, I should have been clearer.

I mean for example I have Harry Potter books 1,2,3,5,6,7

I could then run the plugin and it would check Wikipedia/Google/Amazon etc and tell me that I'm missing book 4.

The Quality Check plugin will check for series gaps, but that assumes the series metadata is correct in Calibre. If you mean something smart enough to figure out that certain books are part of a series, which ones they are within the series and which are missing just from author/title/ISBN, no, such a beast does not exist.

Plugin: Quality Check -> Check Metadata -> Check Series gaps
