Arthur Sort

Is it possible to have Calibre use the Arthur Sort field to save the books under? Instead of saving the books using the Arthur(s) field.

I prefer sorting Arthurs by Last Name then First Name. Right now I have to go into the Calibre Library folder and rearrange the folder names for each Arthur.

You might get more responses if you have the mods move this thread to the Calibre forum. And I think you meant Author sort not Arthur sort.

You do that and you break Calibre.
Calibre REQUIRES that you not mess with the folders because it knows where IT put your book(s)
If you had read the Calibre FAQ's, you would have known this

There is almost 0 reason to need to direct access those folders. The Library can deliver books to most devices (or a device folder)

However, if OP is asking how to copy files to his Nook in a different file structure, than this default, the way to do it is to go to the preferences and change the template in the Saving Books to Disk and Sending Books to Device preferences. In my case, the template is:

Calibre/{author_sort[0]}/{author_sort:sublist(0,1,&)}/{series:|| }/{series_index:0>2s|[|] }{title}

which copies to folders A-Z, and then in folders sorted by the last name, in folders by series, and then the series number followed by the title.
