"Google Images" Gadget Suggestion in Searching for Words
I dont know If this is the right place to ask. But I want to know two things:
1. Is this a good idea? 2. how can we tell Amazon to apply it for their next update? Most of the kindle or book readers encounter difficult words; like names of trees, kinds of animals, and so on. These things are easier for native speakers to find out. But for non-native speakers of English like us; even the dictionary won't help, since the dictionary can explain in words only. Google Images i think is the best solution for some words that needs images to explain them. Thanks ![]() The image example is in the attachment. |

The group of developers at this site do not have a 'working relationship' with Amazon/Lab126.
Mostly a matter of history. But also because Amazon observes a "not invented here" policy. |

We have information here about building custom ACXs for the Kindle, which is probably where you want to start for this project. If I recall correctly, the purpose it was introduced for was to lookup words and phrases on-line while reading. So looking up images would probably not be too hard. In this case, it isn't rocket science. ![]() If you have trouble finding that thread (or threads), check the FGA thread for tips on searching this forum. Any relationship we might have with Amazon/Lab126 could best be described as adversarial. Last edited by knc1; 10-10-2015 at 07:49 AM. |
