New T68 Lynx update
There is a new update on the onyx-boox site for the T68 Lynx. You can also access it through settings on the device itself. I have tried downloading it from my device, and downloading it from the website and then transferring it to my device. Each time, the Lynx recognizes the update and begins the installation process. However, when the device reboots into recovery, I get this: E: signature verification failed. Installation aborted.
I have emailed Arta Tech for help on this. Has anyone managed to successfully install the update? Are there any workarounds that might help in my case? And, last but not least, what improvements have you seen in the update? Thanks! |

An update:
If you try to update your T68 Lynx and get the same error I did, here's what you can do. Someone from Arta Tech passed this on to me and it worked for me, at least. Forst, go to settings-system-power management. You will see three headings: Sleep, Power off timeout, and Network Inactivity Timeout. Click on each one and choose the "never" option. Then, download the update.zip file (if you've already downloaded it before changing these settings, you'll need to delete it and download it after changing these settings) and let your Lynx begin the installation process. It should work this time. Now, I've been looking for any enhancements. FB Reader does look better, for one. I notice Onyx Neo Reader as a reading app option. I think that is new for the Lynx. Feel free to point out anything else you may notice. Installing the update made me lose root, but I was able to re-root easily with towelroot v1. I also have a Boyue T62, and I have found that device more user-friendly. However, the update does seem to make the Lynx looks and work a bit smoother - or is it merely placebo? |

Downeaster59, have you noticed if the touch screen accuracy is at all improved after the update?

When I first bought this T68, touchscreen accuracy was worse, and a previous update seemed to help then. |
