How to add Buttons or links to other pages in the book?

Hi I'm making a choose your own ending book where the reader makes choices through out the book. Depending on what they choose the book takes them through different adventures. how do I add links or anchors to different pages? |

@20Gt a tool was added to the editor last week to help do just that ==>> see calibre - What's new, there's a link there to some doco, you'll need to have version 2.15 installed to make use of it BR |

Use an html link. Code: <a href="path/to/file.xhtml#optional-element-id">text of link</a> Edit: Great minds think alike. Last edited by eschwartz; 01-06-2015 at 06:01 PM. Reason: ninjaed |

Yep, you have to put the anchor into the target location (if you want somewhere other than top of file) - I'm not sure of the calibre book-editor has something that will help do that, Sigil has an Insert ID feature. @eschwartz - it's easy to remember what was in last week's release, it's last month's, or year's releases that trouble me BR |

The snippet I posted was an instructional example. path/to/file.xhtml is a suggestion that you will want to put the path to the file you want to link to. The completion popup will help you deal with those, just start typing any part of the filename. |
