calibre stuck on zip for input

Hi. I'm new here. Didn't know where else to turn.

A bit of background - I'm a self-published author. Been doing all my epubs on Calibre - until I got a ransomware virus. Finally got that cleaned out but ever since I had it Calibre has been stuck on ZIP with no other options in the input box. And if I try to convert an html to epub like I used to do quite easily it turns it into a PDF instead. Very strange.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled Calibre several times - no help - it still does the same thing.

Could the virus be lingering in my HP computer somewhere and be causing this? It just makes no sense to me - any other program I download works fine.

Thanks for having this forum. Calibre has been a great tool for me in the past.

@RTWD - it could still be lurking. Or it has scribbled all over your calibre configuration data.

Try this - start calibre then click on Preferences->Miscellaneous->Open calibre configuration directory.

That will open a Windows (File) Explorer window. Leave it open and close calibre, now delete everything in that folder that was opened, then close the Windows (File) Explorer window.

Start calibre - it should run the Welcome Wizard and give you a default set of configuration data. You will have to reinstall optional PI's and reconfigure everything.
