Lonely Planet: Discover the Beaches of Fort Myers & Sanibel is their lavishly illustrated full-length guide to Exactly What It Says In The Title, providing tips and local highlights for the Florida destination, free courtesy of specialty travel publisher Lonely Planet.
Currently free @ B&N, Amazon (available to Canadians & in the UK), iTunes & Google Play (both available to Canadians) This is mostly a multimedia ebook and a large file which you probably don't want to download on a device with data limits. The Kindle version has embedded audio/video and has specific reader requirements, the B&N version is an Enhanced NOOK Book, and the iTunes version is an iBook. That said, the Google Play version seems to show up as a regular ePub when I preview it. Description 'Blue skies. Spanish architecture. Lush greenery. World-class shelling. This is Fort Myers & Sanibel.' Experience the beaches of Fort Myers & Sanibel! Lush greenery, pristine beaches and vibrant wildlife combine with history, fine dining and shopping in a medley that will satisfy hardcore wilderness explorers, families and amateur naturalists alike. This guide covers:

Thanks.
I grabbed it (apparently the same edition as this one) back in October 2014 when it was offered for free then, too. A wise move on the part of someone to offer this book free. I've lived in Florida quite a number of years but, sad to say, my experience visiting different beaches there has been rather limited. However, ever since I got the free tour guide of Ft. Myers/Sanibel Island a couple of years ago, it has been on my bucket list of places to go. Sanibel Island is probably the best seashelling beach in Florida, at least among easily-accessible beaches. |
