Air 2 sound vibrations
Okay, so I ordered an iPad Air 2, despite what I had read about the sound vibration on the screen.
Everything I have read is true, the volume is a lot louder than previous models and with the thinner case, there is a LOT of vibrations from the volume on the screen. I watch a lot of tv on my iPad so I am loving the louder volume. No more need for a supplemental speaker (which is what i do with my ipad 2). Usually when I am watching my iPad is sitting on the counter in its leather case, so the vibration is not an issue unless I need to touch the screen to pause the show and there is only minimal contact. And mostly when I'm typing I am not using an app with the sound going. So I don't know that the vibration would bother me much when I have a lot of screen time. What do others think about this issue? I'll planning on keeping this machine for 4 years so I don't want to be hating it and wanting to replace it in a year. |

I can't imagine a scenario where I'd be listening to loud sounds and doing much touching of the screen. If it really bothered me, I could turn DOWN the sound or put on headphones.

I noticed that (compared to iPad 3). It's not clear if it is intentional, or just a consequence of having something thin enough to vibrate more. I never used Air 1 so it may be the same.

I have the iPad Air and never have felt vibrations. Then again, the sound never gets very loud either. If I want to enjoy a movie, I put on headphones.

I often have my Air 1 speakers on max because they are very weak. Never noticed vibrations.

It REALLY vibrates a lot. But having it in a case does improve it. Even with the sound down at 50% or less you can still feel the sound vibrations. But I think most of my use with sound on will be when I am not holding it, so I don't think it will matter too much. Really, really like the finger print access and the lower glare on the screen. Overall a very nice machine |

I don't mind the vibrations and it doesn't interfere with touching the screen. I think with the thinness of the case, we have to expect it. Sound is much better than my iPad 3.
I haven't looked to see if my iPad Air 2 is set for the large speakers, some say that was the problem. I use mine in a TPU backing with a Apple Smart Cover. |

I have the Air 1 and noticed the vibrations on the Air 2 at Best Buy. A lot of people on macrumous have complained about it along with the screen distortion issue.
http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1807295 I know it would drive me nuts since I play games on mine so I'm sticking with my Air 1. I suppose it really depends on how you use the device and what for. etc. |

Air 2 sound vibrations
I've had mine for less than a day and noticed it. Does it bother me? No. I use it mainly for PDFs and browsing Internet so I'm not expecting long hour sessions of music of videos with my iPad Air 2.
Like others said, I guess it depends of the actual usage. I'm also using the Smart Cover. When is on, it reduces that feeling a bit. When I'm using it "naked", the vibration is more noticeable. |
