Troubleshooting Kindle PW:Books are wrong language

I've had my kindle PW for awhile now and everything has been going smoothely. Recently, I decided to try using the notes feature to provide a nice summary of each chapter of a book so I can go back and refresh my memory.

Today, I tried to see these notes on amazon, and figure out a way to get them into onenote. What I realized was that the books I've sideloaded-some using Calibre, some via email are in the wrong language?! Not just one but various different langauges such as Chinese, Japanese even Hebrew.

I'm not sure what causes this, but I'm assuming this is due to the fact that these books were not bought directly from amazon? Does that mean I cannot access/make notes in them? And they will forever show up in a foreign language?

The language code in the books are probably wrong. Of course, that won't magically change the actual text of the books into another language. You can change the language code with Calibre.

So the language code and be wrong even if the language read o calibre/the kindle is correct?

Where did you get these books from?

The books were received from various online sources. Some were already in the kindle format, others has to be converted through calibre.

I'd contact the publisher and complain. Legally-bought books should definitely not have problems with their language code.

I'm pretty sure that those are the foreign language dictionaries and user guides. Do you have any books purchased from Amazon, or are they all sideloaded?

I do have books purchased from amazon, they look normal. I guess my main question is does everyone's side loaded books show up on the amazon website, and are you able to view notes? Or is that not supported for side loads?

From your pic, they are

Kindle Paperwhite guide (Russian version)
Kindle Paperwhite guide (Chinese version)
Daijisen (it is a Japanese to Japanese dictionary)
Xinhua dictionary (it is a Chinese to Chinese dictionary)
Xian Dai Han Yu Ci Dian (it is a Chinese to Chinese dictionary)

For the remaining three, I believe they are all Russian dictionary / Russian to other language dictionaries.

I think the language of these "books" have the correct language code.

Maybe you accidentally bought unwanted dictionaries?

Ahh, good to know what they mean, but unfortunately I'm 100% certain I bought none of those things. Plus, there are at least 10 other items similar to this, so I would have noticed eventually.
Also, none of the items can be found on my kindle which is strange.

I've kind of just given up on the notion of having my highlights and notes from side loaded books sync to Amazon, especially since I've found out that you can access all book notes regardless of where they came from on Calibre.

I have dozens of foreign language dictionaries in my Manage Your Content page. Amazon just provides them to Kindle users. They don't automatically download to the Kindle. Just like the foreign language user's guides. I've got bunches of those on my account as well.

Sorry, now I'm confused. I though you said that books that you had sideloaded had the wrong language code, but now you seem to be talking about foreign-language dictionaries and user guides (which everyone has, BTW). Do you have a problem with sideloaded books, or not?

Sorry for the confusion. I wasn't aware everyone had foreign language dictionaries on their kindle page.
And due to my not knowing this, someone mentioned that my side loaded books have the wrong language code,causing them to show up on the kindle page in another language ( which know I know is untrue, since everyone has these foreign language dictionaries).

Therefore, with this new knowledge my issue is not that my books are in the wrong language format, but apparently they do not show up on the kindle page at all, as I was hoping to export my highlights and notes from there to another platform.

Now, I'm not sure if this is normal or if it's an issue on my side.
Sorry for the mix up.
