Currently free, probably just through Monday @ Amazon (available to Canadians and in the UK), Kobo & iTunes & Google Play (all available to Canadians, and probably most places worldwide, since I spot-checked iTunes Denmark and it's free there as well).

If you happen to enjoy this one and would like to read the rest of it, Dundurn books are couponable at Kobo and they often have money-saving omnibus editions. Although this trilogy is only published as far as #2, from what I can see.

Because girl-centric YA fantasy quest adventures which seem to have an emphasis on strong interpersonal relationships which aren't the standard mentor/student type or composed primarily of romantic elements automatically get on general principles.

Plus, I'm kind of a sucker for "kidnapped to save the alternate world" types of adventures. Although technically, this one isn't quite an alternate world.

And this one's Canadian, as well, and offered (probably) worldwide. So it's like a hat trick of potential reading kink awesome.

Description
Seventeen-year-old Gwen is settling into her new home in Oregon and looking forward to senior year when she is kidnapped by Kian, who warns her that she is in terrible danger.
