i got my kindle voyage ! and a case and charger !
due delivery day 23rd dec.
expedit delivery

very excited

got lots of question but head is to excited to think
so
any advice on
what i need do , posts to read and which you tube videos to watch

The most complicated thing for me was setting up my collections and books in a way that I liked (same as on my kindle 3). With great help from the MobileRead crowd, it is now correct.

Otherwise, I just started reading. Having a case helped me bond with it.

will my collection automatically transfer. ( amazon have attched to my account)
and i use the collection view.

eg Robert rankin books are in there own collection in reading order so i just click the next book to download. as i dont remember the reading order. ( reading them as my goodreads book challenge)

The manual should be on the kindle itself. I think your collections will transfer. Mine did, but someone else had trouble. It may have to do with when you created collections? Apparently the original K3 collections were not in the cloud. If you click on CLOUD on your kindle, you can see if the collections are there. They should be alphabetical with your books. Then you can download them to your voyage.

There's really no need to order the charger, and particularly not Amazon's ludicrously expensive one. The Voyage can be charged from any USB wall charger, which you very likely already have.

just sync my ebooks when reading on computer so hoping that will be ok. as for my k3 seems to be 6 pages behined even tho it was sync with.

You might find this thread useful to skim. It's a collection of tips about how to use the Cloud Collections when you are new to them. It you are coming from a K3, as I think you are (I came from a K4) then you might need this info:

It pulls together some of the bits that didn't make sense to several of us.

PS Don't try to re-create all of your collections as once (unless you can find the "import my collections" option, which I didn't see, cause I tried to create them before my new KV got here). Just create a few collection, move a few books in, and start reading. Then move a few books at a time!

well hd 6 arrived yesterday . lol

i love he size , and its a lot lighter to hold. my partner now wants on .

infact he had to eat his words as he was trying to convice me to stay with the older kindle fire .
a few apps dont work or havent trasfer over yet

avast and office pro and im really only missing avast as its my fav anti vius software
and i do have office pro on my ipad.

im glad i brought the hd 6 and looking forward to voyage as well.

audio seems cleaner too

Remember that you can't run any of the application thingies (active whatevers, my brain is blanking on the word) on the Voyage, so don't even transfer them. They can break the Voyage. Just books!!
