Is it necessary to apply a screen protector to the PW2?
I will definitely buy the leather covers available for it . But are screen protectors necessary?? I am afraid it will decrease contrast or increase glare. I am also not great at installing screen protectors and end up ruining them. But if the screens are scratch prone I will have to install them. I read the outer layer of the screen is plastic and scratches become noticable with the light on. |

I've never had a screen protector on an e-ink reader. I use them for tablets but not ereaders, not even the Voyage and that has a glass screen.
I've had kindles and other makes of readers since 2007 |

Totally unnecessary, in my experience, especially if you're keeping it in a case. I've never used one, and never had a scratched screen.
