PW Remote Power On/Off
Has anyone wired a remote power on/off line to the paperwhite? I am using one as a navigation display and it will be sealed in a water-proof case where the built in power switch will be unreachable. Maybe I could connect a reed-switch so that an external magnet can do the reset.
Or, is there a way to force a reset & power on if the processor is hung via the USB? Related question, if there is no battery and the power is applied (turned on) via the USB port will the device power up with a full power on boot. Maybe that is my answer? Thanks |

See my "KT2 Exposed" thread, about mid-way through, detailing the hardware restart and on/off (on the PW2).
Along with requests for someone to verify. The PW may or may not have the same connection points available - you'll have to check and tell us. |
