Clothing to Carry Your Mobile Devices
Off topic, but have you seen the photos of iPhone 6 units that are bent all to heck after people place them in their pants pockets?

Yeah, it's prety crazy. The iPod Touch is still thinner, yet people haven't been bending that. It's probably because of the overall size. |

I would think we men would have less room to carry anything however us men could manage a wee bit better. A jacket should do.

See, I don't like carrying a purse. My shoulders aren't wide enough to support them. I've been using a wallet case on my 5S since the beginning of the summer. It's very easy to put on and take off. My Incipio Feather takes a minute in comparison, but it's a worthwhile ritual to deal with and I only do it when I know I'll need money on hand.
Easy enough to cram a few receipts in there too, aswell as cash. I'd gladly hang an iPhone 6+ around my neck like a camera if someone makes a case to do so. I stuff the iPad Mini into my jacket, but you can't wear those all the time. ![]() Last edited by WT Sharpe; 09-25-2014 at 12:01 PM. Reason: Split post when creating new thread. |

Back in the days of the Newton I had shirts tailored w/ oversized pockets to accommodate carrying it.
For a while, Travelsmith was making really great shirts w/ wonderfully over-sized pockets which my Sony PRS-505 and later PRS-600 would fit in, but they've since reduced them so that they don't. Don't carry a smartphone though I've been considering an iPad Mini if I can find a shirt with pockets it'd fit in. |

Sorry I was a bit too subtle. Did you miss the wee men vs. us men? I took a stab at your grammar. The iPhone 6 plus at least is too large to be treated as a pocketable device. It is the size of a small eReader. How would you carry that? A belt bag would likely work. I used to use a case with a belt strap with my PDA's and GPS devices. Of course you could wear cargo pants.

I have an iPhone 5 and a case from Rearth and it's very light and very thin. They have an iPhone 6 version that would keep the phone from bending.
http://www.rearthusa.com/iPhone-Plus...&searchSize=12 I do keep my phone in my front pocket a lot of the time when I go out and I have no trouble with it. But then, I do have it protected. |

Sure see http://www.amazon.com/SUPCASE-Full-b.../dp/B00MTN5U24 for one case. I am sure there will be a lot more.

I'm with Jessica Lares, another female that absolutely hates to carry a purse. I have several Scottevest jackets, sweatshirts and vests that I wear once the weather is cool enough for another layer. I love them, I can stash everything I need into the pockets.
And for the summer months when it's too hot for even a light vest, I use the smallest lightest nylon crossbody purse just big enough to hold my cell, reader, camera, cash/credit cards, keys and that's it (like this one, although it seems my 2 favorites and smallest bags are no longer sold). They're barely 6"x8" tall and that's just perfect as a crossbody bag where my shoulders don't start to hurt from the weight of a heavy purse because I have too much stuffed in it. Hate purses. But for the hot weather, it's a necessary evil I can't do away with entirely. I won't even put a credit card in my jeans pockets because it will bend and be unusable sooner rather than later. I can't imagine putting any electronics in a jeans pocket, it would destroy them on the first time out the door. |
