book cover conceals OK, etc tabs
Hi all, I'm new to mobileread but a long time Calibre user. I just started
having a strange problem, whenever I move a book into Calibre to be converted the book cover is enlarged enough that it covers the action tabs. I've studied the help and tried all the taskbar tabs with no results. I need some expert(or talented amateur) help, it would really be appreciated. Oh, I use a nook and I have the most recent version of Calibre, just downloaded it to see it that would help but no luck there. Ray |

OK, I'm attempting a screenshot, never done this before.
The screenshot appears below as untitled.jpg in additional options. ray |

Part of the window is offscreen. Just drag the windowbar and pull it back onto the screen.

I may have not been clear on my problem in the original posting. I can't
move the cover pic you see more than a very small amount, not enough to clear any of the tabs at the bottom. The problem is that the cover is enlarged far too much and I can't find a way to shrink it. This is a recent happening as I've been using Calibre for quite some time wiith nothing like this occurring before. I'm assuming(I know) that it's not a problem with windows, as it's happening within Calibre itself. Ray |

You should be able to scroll down the conversion dialog.

![]() You can try moving the conversion dialog (window) all the way to the Top and Left. ![]() ![]() The vertical height is adjustable. drag the top edge (double arrow pointer) down , then move the windows (regular pointer) titlebar UP ![]() Change your screen resolution to higher numbers (eg 1024x768 => 1280=>720) BTW OK is the default action. So just use the Enter key from almost any field other than comments. |

Two very possible hints, let me give them both a try. I shall return, either
carrying my shield or upon it. ![]() |

The Ducks, many thanks, I now know a workaround that gets me converting
and reading once again. I now need to try the resizing methods but no hurry, I'm good to go. ![]() Ray |
