Kindle Advertising on tha back of Australian Woman's Day
Hi Everyone, just for a bit of a laugh.

There is a magazine in Australia called, surprisiingly enough, "Australian Woman's Day." It's a weekly magazine (despite the name 'Day'), and quite frankly, the magazine is pretty silly. It's a gossip mag. Although it isn't as "low" as others.

On the back of this week's issue is a full page add for the Kindle.

Looks like she's holding the Kindle Basic.

Just something interesting, and noteworthy.

No. I think it's just noteworthy in that you don't normally see a full paged, back cover Kindle ad on any magazine -- much less a gossipy rag.

There's a weekly "TV Guide" magazine in the UK called "Radio Times" (it started life before TV) which regularly has a full-page Kindle ad on the back cover.

Ugh, the screen. The basic doesn't have a front light.

Open the image in a new tab and zoom in. You'll see the flush screen and a little dot on the side (light sensor). It's a Voyage.

And the whole "You will travel in a land of marvels" is their slogan for the Voyage. Cheap word play, but I guess it's perceived as sophisticated by some.

Well, maybe it's a first for Australia, but full-page magazine ads for Kindles are pretty common elsewere. Harry mentioned the UK mag, Radio Times. But I've seen them in several other consumer titles as well - not to mention frequent TV commercials.
