Kobo Gift Card Problem

I bought a $50 Kobo gift card from Chapters. I followed instructions to activate the card. I was able to purchase a book. However, the balance of the card did NOT transfer to Kobo store credit. I tried to activate it again when purchasing another and was told there was "no value". There is no way for me to check balance of Kobo store credit in the Account page.

What do I do? It's kind of unbelievable that I just lost about $40 on the website!

Your store credit balance is shown on the My Account > Payment Information page.

As I said before, there is no store credit section in My Account > Payment Information or anywhere else. I'm looking at it right now.

I'm just freaking out because $50 is quite a bit of money and Kobo customer care has not replied to me.

I was given several $25 kobo gift cards for last Christmas, the one I am attempting to use now said it is not valid! I don't have the receipt for this one. Card No XXX XXX XXXX.
Are you able to help.

@Peter Presser: No one here is a Kobo Rep. You're going to have to get in touch with Kobo Help to try to get this resolved.

So now, having posted your card number and email address, everyone and their dog can try to use it. Do you really think that this is a sensible idea, to post such details in public?
