Cannot eject device from Calibre
This is a post I just made in the Calibre forum. Putting it here just FYI, as I think the issue is with Calibre, not CC.
When I sync from Calibre to Kindle via USB, I sometimes later eject it (windows 7) to allow it to charge. If I then try to sync my Nexus 7 using Calibre Companion, it fails saying Calibre is already connected to another device. I have to pull the USB completely to overcome this.
Is there a Calibre setting I've missed that would solve this, or...? |

R U doing the eject in the Calibre GUI or using W7's taskbar?
My xperience is Calibre disconnects, but the device stays connected until I use the taskbar eject |

Yes, I'm doing an eject in W7 ( via windows explorer on the taskbar) which Calibre appears to show as a valid disconnect of the Kindle.

Kovid answered in your other thread (you really should not do 2 threads).
Eject using Calibre (on device will go away) (I then check W7 to see it really happened fully) |

Quote:
2) Ejecting with Calibre first makes the Kindle disappear from Win7, however does nothing to correct this issue. That was my first approach, leading me to think Calibre's eject was not complete in the win7 sense. I would expect ejecting using the OS eject function would override a specific app's connection...but apparently not in this case. Last edited by NSILMike; 12-02-2014 at 08:13 AM. |
