Linux version 1.25?
Hello Guys!
I have installed Calibre on Linux and downloaded the 2.x version. The installation went really easy but when I start the program it shows me at the left corner version 1.25. How is that now? Is the Linux version only at 1.25 is it possible to upgrade? Cheers |

Your Linux distribution probably comes with its own version of Calibre. Try to check whether that version is installed, and uninstall it first, then reinstall Calibre "properly" (as indicated on the Calibre download page).

I have installed as was adviced there. Used these commands:
sudo -v && wget -nv -O- https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ko...x-installer.py | sudo python -c "import sys; main=lambda:sys.stderr.write('Download failed\n'); exec(sys.stdin.read()); main()" This installed me the 1.25 version. |

You probably have two versions of calibre installed, one from using those commands and one from your Linux distribution.
If you're using Ubuntu, Debian, or one of the many other distributions based upon them, enter the following command: dpkg -l calibre If anything comes up, you will have to uninstall it. In the aforementioned distributions: sudo apt-get remove calibre At this point, the new version should work. If it doesn't, rerun the command that you described in post #3. If you are using another version of Linux, the commands that I suggested may be different. |

Try to run
Code:
ls -l `which calibre` Code:
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 20 nov. 24 15:49 /usr/bin/calibre -> /opt/calibre/calibre N. |
