Shortcut key for HTML Source in Comments

Hi all,

When I go to edit the comments in the metadata, I want to be able to go straight to the HTML Source, rather than Normal View. With as many books as I have, I would like to have a keyboard shortcut that takes me straight there or have it automatically take me to that view if I click the Alt+M, which takes me to the Comments box. Is there a way to do that that I'm not seeing?

Thanks in advance!

@jenrar - not to my knowledge - but I too hanker for a kb shortcut to toggle between Normal and HTML.

I'd also like a kb shortcut to open the Insert link dialogue. Once you're into it then driving it from the keyboard is easy, but...

Woohoo! Opened up Calibre just now and there was an update, and voila! There was the shortcut! It's perfect. I'm so thankful for the quick response & update. Excellent!

now duplicate shortcut

The new shortcut Alt-H for the HTML-Version of Annotations leads - at least in the german version - to a duplicate shortcut, because Alt-H is uses for "Herunterladen" (download metadata). Any chance to get that fixed?

Thx ajan

calibre translations are managed in transifex, you are welcome to open an issue against the german translation, or contribute an updated translation yourself.

But in the stand alone Comments editor 'O' was already in use for OK, and it had been for at least a couple of years. Presumably it was done because Enter in a multiline text box will insert a new line.

Can the accelerator key for OK be reinstated in the standalone Comments editor. A alt/'K' would be fine by me, so that the Normal & HTML accelerator keys would be the same for the embedded and standalone Comments editors.

Added - in the book list when a custom comments cell is the current cell there is no highlighting as there is for other column types. Pre version 2.0 they were highlighted in the same way as all other cells - by changing the background colour to a darker blue. Can something be done to highlight a custom comments cell when it's the current cell.

Thanks - BR
