Using OneDrive with Kobo Glo

I store my library on OneDrive so I can easily access it remotely, thanks to Calibre and Calibre Companion. However, I have not been able to access OneDrive directly (obviously without Calibre Companion) from my Kobo. More accurately, I have accessed OneDrive, but it crashes my Kobo to the point where it does not respond to anything, even the sleep button. This has happened at least twice,

Should I be able to use OneDrive with my Kibo, or is it incompatible for some reason? It's not a huge problem since I can store so many books on the Kobo, but still I'd like to use OneDrive if it's possible. Can it be done?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions you may have.

I don't know how good the Kobo browser is. I know the Kindle browser often crashes on overly complex sites.
For a while it would actually reboot when you tried accessing Dropbox.

It is probably a RAM thing.

The first time it happened on my Kobo, I thought I had made a paperweight out of it, but fortunately it came back to life when I plugged it in, even though it had not responded to anything else. Essentially the same thing happened the second time I tried it.

I was hoping it would be possible, but it's not a major problem, as I can simply load it with more books, thanks to the microSD card.

Thanks.

I keep my books on Dropbox and I can access them from my Kobo's. I have a Kobo Glo and a Kobo Aura and a Kobo Mini. All three of them can get to Dropbox and download a book.

It's clumsy but it's not difficult and it works just fine. I just checked and I have 128 meg of books on Dropbox at the moment. I have a free account there and I think it gives me 5 gig but maybe 2 gig. I don't recall now. I've been using it for years and I never had enough on it to have to think about how much capacity I have.

2 GB for dropbox, but you can get 500 MB for each referral -- including the one that referred you.

I have 16.38 GB

2Gb default, 3Gb for using the carrousel. So, 5Gb without too much trouble and without friends... (my Dropbox is only 5Gb, I don't have any friends )

On the Kobo Glo go to Settings and tap Beta Features and tap Web Browser. When the browser loads enter dropbox.com in the address bar and it'll take you to Dropbox. Log in, navigate to your ebooks and then long press the book you want and tap Download on the dialog that pops up.

The tricky part is logging in since the keyboard tries to cover the text box so you can't easily see what you're doing. Just type carefully when you can't see it and it works just fine.

Initiating a download is also a bit iffy. It works just fine sometimes. Other times I can't make the dialog pop up until I close the browser and open i and start over. Fortunately I don't have to log in again when that happens.

The first couple of times I did this it was incredibly clumsy and I wasn't sure it would be worth the trouble. After that it got easier once I understood when to be patient and now I find it pretty useful. Probably 80% of the time everything works correctly the first time. The other 20% of the time I usually just terminate and start over and it always works okay.

The browser is extremely slow and it sometimes takes 30 seconds to refresh a couple of times and you'll learn where you have to just be patient and wait it out.
