A Man in the Making: Strategies to Help Your Son Succeed in Life by Rick Johnson is a parenting advice guide on providing teachable life lesson moments from upstanding role models to instill useful character traits in your son, with the help of prominent inspiring historical figures (not necessarily devoutly Christian; I'm pretty sure that Benjamin Franklin was a Deist {Wikipedia says he says so in his autobiography}, and Leonardo da Vinci had rude things to say about organized religion, IIRC), free courtesy of Christian publisher Baker's Revell imprint.

A quick skim of the opening of this seems to indicate that this is not particularly faith-oriented or "inspirational" in tone and mostly provides useful general behaving-with-manners-and-integrity advice which even secular parents may be able to make use of, possibly even for their daughters as well, since a lot of the lessons don't seem like they should be particularly gender-specific.
