Question Personal documents no longer limited to 5 GB?

I may be wrong but I see that Amazon has silently removed personal documents limit in the cloud.

Until recently I could see in the Settings tab on the MYK page that all my personal documents take let's say 0.8 GB out of 5 GB space.

Now that information is gone. In "Personal Document Archiving" section only archiving switch has remained. Does that mean that they removed the limit?

Who's going to send many files to the cloud and test that? :-)

EDIT: image under 600px reposted, sorry about violating guidelines

I am seeing the same thing. Are you a Prime member? I am and I wonder if the limit removal might be limited to Prime members. But that is a good thing either way.

I'm not a prime member and I'm also not seeing a limit on personal documents archiving anymore.

You may remember a few months ago that the 5GB free 'personal document' storage was combined with the 5GB free 'cloud storage', so the total is now 10GB total per amazon account (with free photo storage for Prime members).

To manage this storage, you need to go to www.amazon.com/clouddrive and login there. You'll see all the personal documents listed and downloadable, and under the 'Hello, X' dropdown menu there's a Manage Your Account link to see what you are using of this 10Gb (or whatever you have subscribed for).

So no, there is still a limit, but depending on how you were using it, you may have more for your personal documents now.

I would really like to see the 50GB Send To Kindle limit go away. One can of course upload larger files to Cloud storage but those don't get integrated with your Kindle library.

50GB is a heck of a lot. I have 6800 books in my Calibre library, all of which are in at least two formats (Mobi and ePub), and my entire library is 17GB in size.

I believe tomsem meant 50MB limit for a single file. :-) I'd love 50 GB for the whole account.

Right, the limit on Cloud Drive settings is still there. I heard however that limits on MYK page were not accurate and there were people exceeding them - they had over 100% and nothing happend.
