links and annotations

Hi everyone,

Newbie question on Marvin:

The book I'm reading now has links to endnotes spread over a whole paragraph of text or more (as opposed to just linking the number that usually designates an endnote). This makes it impossible to highlight text that is linked. When I start selecting text to annotate, I'm just diverted to the corresponding footnote. Is there a way to either i) disable links to footnotes/endnotes or ii) annotate the linked text without being diverted to the endnote?

Have you tried selecting a word or two before the link and then dragging to a position past the link?

That's gonna be very tough, given that selecting text across paragraph boundaries has always been extremely buggy in Marvin. But the fault here is on the side of the incompetent e-book creator; such formatting of endnote references is inexcusable.

Yes, and that works. But because the links are so long and frequent it's a very inconvenient way of doing things, I sometimes need to highlight more than half a page and then scroll in with the markers on both sides.
