Free (Kindle/Kobo/iTunes) Obsidian [YA Sci-Fi Alien Interspecies Conflict w/Romance]

Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout (ISFDB) is the 1st in her Lux series of YA science fiction action adventure novels with strong f/m romantic elements centred on an alien interspecies conflict which just happens to take place around two young persons who get caught up in it, this installment setting up the initial encounter between the human high school girl and the superpowered aliens-in-disguise-in-hiding who are being hunted down by their galactic enemies, free courtesy of publisher Macmillan's Entangled: Teen imprint.

This has previously been offered free in 2014, and is apparently being re-offered to promote the upcoming release of a 6th book, slated for December.

Currently free @ Amazon (available to Canadians & in EU/JP/South America), Kobo & iTunes & Google Play (all available to Canadians). Price-drop-check linkage for B&N, where Entangled freebies usually also show up, but right now the e-book pricing is MIA.

Starting over sucks.

When we moved to West Virginia right before my senior year, I'd pretty much resigned myself to thick accents, dodgy internet access, and a whole lot of boring...until I spotted my hot neighbor, with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up.

And then he opened his mouth.

Daemon is infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. We do not get along. At all. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, well, something...unexpected happens.

The hot alien living next door marks me.

You heard me. Alien. Turns out Daemon and his sister have a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal their abilities, and Daemon's touch has me lit up like the Vegas Strip. The only way I'm getting out of this alive is by sticking close to Daemon until my alien mojo fades.

If I don't kill him first, that is.
