Cybook is trash.
I bought a Cybook 6 months ago. About 2 months ago the screen when all strange on me and I returned it on the warranty plan. After about 3 weeks I got a fixed one. Last night, that screen went all trash on me from the middle part up! WHat do I do now? I have to return this thing again?
Why is this unit breaking so easily? Is this a reliable product? Does not seem to me! |

When you say the screen went all strange, what do you mean? Do you mean maybe the checkeroard pattern or do you mean like it look like the screen is cracked? The only way we can really try to help is if you show us or describe in more detail just what it looks like.
There is another thread where some people seem to have their Gen3's screen crack for no apparent reason. That might be manufacturing defects given it's enough people who say they took proper care and that it just happened. Maybe what you had were manufacturing defects. Can't say till you give us enough to go on. |

Sounds like a screen controller problem. The good news is that it's a warranty repair. Just very, very bad luck, I think, getting two faulty units. Screen controller issues certainly aren't common.
