kindle 3 problems

I have a problem with my kindle 3

freezing up during boot
rebooting during boot
letters dont seem to work
letter press isnt the one that is desplayed on screen

Any ideas

i just manage to put the updte on so not sure the letter problem is me or the update.

eg type

v getting n
y getting a
i dosent work
any ideas

will hopefully get a new kindle before christmas but defintly after.
can any one help in the meantime

also getting duplicated books like 5 kindle quick guides

but if i try delete the kindle freezes up and it takes 10 minutes to reboot

Have you tried doing a factory reset?

To do a factory reset:
1. Press the Home button.
2. Press the Menu button.
3. Select “Settings.”
4. Press the Menu button.
5. Select “Reset to Factory Defaults.”

can anyone tell me

after turning the kindle 3 off (screen goes off after green light goes out)
should the screen flash twice?

Its never done it before but now its fashing each time i turn off

and the flashing is increasing



Ive tried a factory reboot and a search to check is index
indexing is ok
and reboot hasnt done anythin orther than seed the problem up

yep no change . even let it go flat for 2 days and then recharged it
