Base FW version for Aura HD?
Is there only one generation for Aura HD hardware?

Mine factory-resets to FW 2.4.0 -- is that the "home" FW version for all Aura HDs?

As far as I know, yes. The newest Aura HD that I've seen reverted to that firmware version on a factory reset.

Thanks for that.

Got a replacement Aura HD recently, which bricked as soon as I tried to activate it with the Kobo desktop. Rang support, was talked through one of several ensuing factory resets, and when it came up as FW 2.4.0 the Kobo operative said, "Ooh, you got an old one!"

That started me wondering. But if they're all the same ...

Well, thanks for the clarification. ;-)
