Hello Everyone

Like everyone else here, I love to read and I find eBooks a great convenience. I currently use the Marvin app on a full-size iPad 2 for my reading.

I received an adult library card when I was 5 years old, after proving to the librarian that I could check out, read and return 7 books in a week, as well as answer her questions about each book. I never lost interest in learning new things, and if anything, my interest has increased as have grown older.

When I was 30, I calculated that from childhood until then I had read some 30,000+ books. My habit at that time was that on Fridays, after work, I would shop book stores and purchase 5 or more novels. I would be finished with them sometime Sunday, usually around lunchtime. For me, reading has been a rather expensive pastime. Until I was able to purchase a home I rented apartments with an extra bedroom so that I had space for all of my bookcases and my worktable, where I built electronics projects.

I live in the US in the state of Alabama. One of my "claims to fame" is that I have documentation that I'm the Original HI-Tech Redneck. It was 1981 when I received that title. And no, that is not when I was born.

Also, just for comparison with my paper book storage needs, my iPad currently has more than 3,500 eBooks and magazines stored in its 64GiB's of storage, and it has lots of room available for more material. Much more room than I can afford to fill!

Best wishes to all,
Trauts
