Getting rid of goodreads icon?

Just got my new basic kindle, and it's awesome

I don't plan to use goodreads, though, and I'd like to not have the 'g' icon on the toolbar. I thought I saw somewhere that there was a way to get the icon to not show up if you weren't signed in to goodreads, but I can't find it now. The best I've been able to do is grey it out.

Is there any way to remove the 'g'?

(What I'd love, but which I know I won't get, is a customisable toolbar. I don't really need the shopping trolley either, but I would love to have a wifi toggle).

Me too (or three). I don't plan to use Goodreads, and I would LOVE a wifi toggle. I don't mind the shopping cart though, as I sometimes use it to find the "borrow a book via prime account".

I do know there is an option in KUAL to make the store button launch KUAL instead, and a separate way to change the icon to the KUAL icon. The same concept should (and possibly does, on Goodreads-enabled devices?) replace the "g", although I don't think you can make it disappear.

People have also changed it to launch the browser.

None of this matters for the KT2 or KV, until a new jailbreak is discovered that does not involve the serial port.

I highly doubt the firmware itself will ever let you customize it though.
