Belisarius Saga (SciFi/Fan)

Thanks to many members of MobileRead, I discovered the Baen free library and have been exposed to authors I have always bypassed in the bookstore such as David Weber, David Drake, and Eric Flint.

Anyway, I started reading the Belisarius Sage by Eric Flint and David Drake via the free books and have come to love it. Then -- again thanks to MobileRead -- I discovered the Fantastic Fiction web site http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/f/eric-flint/ and decided to see what books were in the series. I discovered that there are 6 books and that only the first 4 are available at the Baen Free Library. So I went to Baen and purchased the final 2 books.

OK, so far. Now the reason for this post: Baen also offers the the whole saga as a bundle for $20 (http://www.webscription.net/p-27-the...ga-bundle.aspx -- a great bargain.

For anyone interested in alternate history scifi, this is a great series and at a great price.

I enjoyed the start of the series, but the final book was literally years late which rather spoiled my enjoyment of it. I really must re-read the whole series again now it's all out.

Haven't read them all but have enjoyed those I have read. I try to not look at them so much as a series but as individual books. I know there is some continuity but that way works best for me.

For the record, the last two books are also available through the Library, though not on Baen's website.

A fair amount of Library offerings got bundled on CDs bound into selected Baen hardcovers, but have never been posted on the Free Library page of the Baen website.

All extant Baen CDs are available as massive Zip files, ISO images, or torrent files from http://baencd.thefifthimperium.com/

Curious, as I was idly constructing an essay on the series. See also the Raj Whitehall books from Drake, Steve Stirling, and Eric Flint, also available through the Library. They are alternate takes on the same premise.
