Hello from Texas, USA

I am a technology consultant who just purchased an iLiad, primarily to be able to read technical documentation easily. (The fact that it's a cool toy doesn't hurt.)

Welcome from a fellow Texan. I bought my Kindle in February, but it is purely for recreation. Technical stuff I read on my laptop or on paper. If I could afford it, I might consider an iLiad for reading PDF files, but I don't think I want to use the same device for technical (err... work) reading and recreational reading. In fact, because I *work* at my laptop, I had never been happy reading books on the laptop even though I had the MobiPocket reader installed. I like my Kindle and it meets all my needs.

Welcome to MobileRead. It's a nice place to hang out and you can even learn things here.
