Troubleshooting collection trouble

hello i have got some collections of different authors on my kindle but i can still see the authors and books when i go forward,if i delete the authors that are not in the collection will i lose the authors from the collection?
i thought that when you made a collection say of Wilbur Smith that when scrolling forward you would not see any Wilbur Smith but you do,

Switch the home page view to "Collections" and you'll get what you're after. In "Author" or "Title" sort mode you see both collections and books.

No, I'm not going to do all the work for you. I've told you how to solve your problem: now it's your turn. Take a close look at the menu bar on the home screen. It's not difficult.
