Kindle By Most Recent ON COMPUTER
My Kindle sort by most recent on the computer is not working. As this is how I work out what to download to transfer to Calibre it is quite a wrinkle.

Which is it? On the computer (K4PC) or on the Kindle. First, you say it is not working on the computer, then you say you can only see the problem on the actual Kindle. If it is on the Kindle, your time is off. Connect via wi-fi or 3G, and it will set the time. Or, on most Kindles, you can manually set the time.

Kindle By Most Recent ON COMPUTER
Hi Susan
The embarrassment of not proofreading before hitting send ![]() Normally on K4PC I sort by most recent and then on Calibre check the date of the last book downloaded. I then download anything I have bought from the date of the last book. As I have a 1500 or so books in K4PC and buy in batches so using hunt and peck to find the latest batch would be very time consuming. I rely on Sort By Most Recent. Thanks Mary |

The way to do this is to sort the contents of the "My Kindle Content" folder by date in Windows Explorer. I'm slightly at a loss to understand how this can not work.

The system I use is to download by usb into a folder on my desktop called "Kindle Downloads". Once I've added the title to Calibre, I delete the file from the folder, although you could certainly keep all of your Kindle downloads in the folder and use any sort options you desire.
I back my Calibre library up into a free Dropbox account (as well as the Kindle cloud) so I see no reason to keep the temporary download files. |
