Calibre 2.5 on OS 10.9.5 crashes

Hi, I apologize if I've missed the answer to this--I skimmed through the forum and didn't see one.

I just upgraded to 2.5 - I upgraded as the previous version crashed when opened, so I hoped the update would fix it.

Version 2.5 crashes almost as soon as it opens. If it does not crash, it gives me an error when adding a book. After multiple tries (of just reopening as I have no idea what to do) I managed to keep it open long enough and get it to add one book--and then it crashed.

Can anyone advise?

Uninstall the ios reader applications plugin, that is what is crashing.

Fantastic. Thanks- I didn't realize this was a similar problem to the ios plugin threads.

Can you please tell me how to uninstall ios reader applications plugin. Calibre is crashing upon startup. Thank you.

Go to the folder

~/Library/Preferences/calibre/plugins

in finder or the terminal and delete the plugin's zip file.
