Glo Frozen screen with CBR/CBZ files

Hello.

I open this thread because I didn't find information about the problems which I have while I'm reading CBR/CBZ files with my Kobo Glo. Sometimes, pretty often indeed, the screen gets frozen when I'm reading this kind of files and the only way to keep reading is to make a reset, I can't turn it off or put it on sleep mode. So it is very uncomfortable and upset. It doesn't happen with PDF files but I change the resolution and the size of the pictures when I make the files conversion with the conversors which I've tried, so this is not an option.

At this moment I can't do anything because my reader is bricked. I was trying to do a factory reset, the updating stopped suddenly and is impossible to do another factory reset or nothing, is completely dead. But anyway... this is other story which I'm trying to solve

I would like to know if this is common between cbr/cbz users with Kobo Glo and if there is a solution.

Sorry, man, but I've never encountered problems with cbr/cbz files... Although, before, my Glo crashed when reading a cbr file, so I switched to cbz. Never had a problem since...

I've installed other kobo glo sd card image in the internal micro sd, and the problem persist, even with pdf files, maybe it happens more times. So I've started to think that is a hardware thing and not a software issue.

It's a shame, to read comics was one of the reasons to buy this ereader

try koreader, it does handle cbz & pdf formats, it has reflow and it is free (GPL)

Worked like a charm in my kobo mini while reading huge comics (+80mb)
