How I buy?!

I am in Iraq and I am wondering for a way to get some good e ink ereader.
Payment online is difficult.
And no online retailer ship to Iraq

Can you buy from eBay? Do you have a PayPal account? PayPal will solve the online pay problem.

PayPal don't accept Visa card from Iraq.
And eBay don't dhip to Iraq

Well your first problem is finding a shipping company who will deliver to Iraq. There are some drop shipment companies that specialize in shippiment of goods to different parts of the world. Drop shipment means that the minute it comes in to the company's offices it is shipped back out to you. A lot of the companies that I have seen have stopped shipping to Iraq becuase of the war with ISIS.

MyUS.com says that they will ship to Iraq. The next step is to find a company who will except a package for you then ship it out to you in Iraq. If MyUS will do that for you then you order anything you need as if you are in the US. Once you can do that then the net problem is payment. Third problem is which one to buy.

Thanks.. I have MyUs account but i can only buy from Amazon using Visa card... Cannot buy from shops that use PayPal.

Another problem is amazon don't accept buying ebooks or apps from my Visa cards in Iraq.

I don't happen to know anything about which places accept what from where, but can you find anywhere that sells Amazon gift cards which accepts payments from Iraqi Visa cards/payment methods of whatever type?

Gift cards are sometimes used as part of a VPN scheme to use the US storefront from places like the UK, so if you can somehow get an Amazon gift card, that should be that solved. What you'd do is pretend to Amazon that you are an American, with a new account that uses an American shipping address (real, because they may catch on to fake addresses , but it probably doesn't matter if it is someone else's address if you never ship physical items) and then connect via your VPN to Amazon. You may not want to connect your Kindle to WiFi unless, say, tethered to a smartphone that is using a VPN*. And for obvious reasons a 3G Kindle would not be a wonderful idea.

EDIT: Come to think of it, I wonder if Amazon themselves will sell you a gift card at least, with an Iraqi Visa. (From a different account).


* It should also be possible to have your WiFi router act as a VPN gateway, using the magic of dd-wrt or something. Not that I have ever looked into the issue, but GoogleFu implies there are a few things you can do.
