Is Onyx Boox T68ML compatible with T68 Update 2014-09-26?

Is Onyx Boox T68ML compatible with Update 2014-09-26 (ver. 1.6.4)?
I'm asking because if I check update from cloud I always get message that "There is no update" or smth like this.

Device build number is 2014-06-20_11-50_1.50_36c2d29.

I don't know whether T68 & T68ML are different, if yes, by how much, or if the update is shared, so not completely sure. Maybe a T68 owner could say with certainty.

Owning a T68 purchased by the same vendor as you indicate in your link, I have downloaded the 2014-09-26 update (haven't had the time to install it yet though) and expect it to be compatible with my device and yours as well.

Install "from the cloud" didn't work for me.
I had to download and put via usb on the device. And then install from local storage.

I don't know about the Lynx version but I have the Booxter version and the online updates have never worked as yet.

Lynx does work via the cloud, unfortunately they don't have updates.
That's why I switched to Booxtor, but I have to do it via local storage. I'm not sure the cloud version is setup for them (ie: he pushes those updates to the cloud too).

On my M96, update via cloud worked till the August software releases. After the September software releases, it has stopped working. Either the update server is having issues, or the settings in the ROM are wrong.

Cloud update is non functional at this time as far as I know. There is also the thing about remembering to remove any external SD card from the reader, prior to attempting an update.

I just checked my reciept; my T68 is also a UHDML from eReader Store, so as long as you use the 2014-09-26 update for the T68, it should be safe.

Having to do a factory reset once seems to be a necessary evil introduced into the recent builds by Booxstor/e-Reader-Store while upgrading from ROM versions Aug 21st & earlier.

It guess this is already mandatory/highly recommended for people coming from other ROMs (Artatech/Lynx etc.) when they convert the devices to Booxstor edition using the Flashtool. So for them, it would be just another required step in the process.

So for all users, its not 'dangerous', just 'inconvenient'.

No, we do provide updates for Onyx BOOX T68 Lynx with Google Play. We do a bit more than others and do not want to provide updates without testing them. We also provide additional apps.
