Why use a refresh icon for delete button ?.

The delete button icon uses arrows in a triangle to depict delete, this is counter intuitive as all the other software that I have used uses either a Red Cross or a Bin as the icon on the delete buttons.

The green triangle arrowed icon is used for refresh in all software that I have used.

It's a recycle symbol, like the one used on the Windows recycle bin icon.

Green arrows on a BIN

Which implies that one can either Delete or Recycle/Restore.

Calibre doesn't have it's own repository/bin for deleted objects which can be recycled/restored.

On second thoughts, that would be a nice feature for Calibre, its own recycle bin or maybe point Calibre's delete button to windows' recycle bin, i.e. have a option on the delete button to open windows recycle bin for books which are inadvertently deleted when the "refresh" button is clicked .

Unfortunately Recycle and Refresh are similar - and easily confused. The Windows recycle bin has a blue recycle symbol on the bin.

Recycle

Refresh
