Marsha Mehran dead at 36
I don't know if this is old news to this Forum, Marsha Mehran died in Ireland earlier this year aged 36.

I really enjoyed both her books:
Pomegranate Soup
Rosewater and Soda Bread.

A third book will be released in December: The Margaret Thatcher School of Beauty, a story about Iranian refugees in Buenos Aires during the Falklands War.

I look forward to reading that.

Golly she packed a lot into her short life, an Iranian refugee who lived in Ireland, Australia and the US.

I find this odd. People who lead a normal life (which I just assume she did, as I don't know anything about her apart from what I just read) don't fall over dead in their apartment at age 36, barring exceptional circumstances. Does anybody know what the cause of her death is?

Various media sources state that she had been sick in the weeks leading up to her death. This is one of several links that pop up in Google:

Though there was an inquest and toxicology reports were pending, there has been no further update that I could find.
